Udacity’ de verilen How to Build a Startup eğitiminden aldığım bazı notlar.

Startups are not smaller versions of large companies.
Planning comes before the plan.

What is a Company?
A business organization which sales a product or service in exchange for revenue and profit.

What’s a Startup?
A temporary organization designed to search for a repeatable and scalable business model.

The value proposition works hand in hand with customer segmentation.
Sufficient features solve a problem for a know group of customers.

Value proposition is not something you are building in isolation
Value proposition has 3 components.

  • Your products and services..
  • What are your gain creatures?
  • What are your pain killers?

The MVP is not an alpha or beta.
MVP is not a minimal product.
You might have a feature extension but it might not be a business.
It’s “nice to have” instead of “got to have“. ( got to have => prioritize pains and gains)

Gains: Customer solation.
Pains: Customer problems or needs.

You want to be careful that you are not completely dependent on online surveys.
Premature spending is the killer for startups.

Revenu Stream: The strategy the company uses to generate cash from each customer segment.
Pricing Model: The tactics you use to set the price in each customer segment.
